The U.S. House voted to approve a two-year extension for Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act, The New York Times reports. Section 702 was set to expire 19 April before the vote. Before the full House vote on reauthorization, lawmakers narrowly denied the addition of an amendment to include required warrants for Section 702 searches.
