ZDNet reports an Amazon Web Services database holding 179 gigabytes of sensitive information belonging to U.S. military personnel, officials and hotel customers was exposed. Researchers revealed the database belonged to Autoclerk, a reservation management system used by Best Western Hotels and Resorts. Reservations for an estimated hundreds of thousands of guests were available on the database, which allowed access to full names, birthdates, home addresses, phone numbers, masked credit card details and other reservation-related data. Meanwhile, The Verge reports app provider NordVPN revealed a site breach involving unauthorized access to user browsing habits.
