Inside Counsel focuses on the three women who lead the Jenner & Block’s Privacy and Information Governance Practice, located in Washington D.C., and their views on the privacy landscape. The group’s chair is Mary Ellen Callahan, CIPP/US, former chief privacy officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She works with Nancy Libin, the former chief privacy and civil liberties officer at the Justice Department, and special counsel Heidi Wachs, CIPP/US, who worked at Georgetown University as the chief privacy officer. Callahan helps clients on privacy and cybersecurity protocols. Libin handles consumer protection and privacy, while also working on national security issues, while Wachs takes on privacy, breach response and data security compliance.
