Microsoft, Salesforce and Cisco are raising concerns with Australia’s proposed Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill 2020, ZDNet reports. Amendments would expand coverage of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 to the communications and data storage and processing sectors, among others. Microsoft asked that data centers and cloud service providers be separated in sectoral definitions, while Salesforce recommended narrowing and clarifying definitions, particularly pertaining to “data and the cloud.”
