MediaPost reports T-Mobile has been hit with a class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington over its recent data breach affecting 53 million individuals. Class members allege violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act among other claims, noting in their filing the mobile provider "knew its systems were vulnerable to attack" but did not "implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information to protect its customers’ personal information."
