A survey conducted by Demandbase found a majority of businesses are concerned third-party marketing vendors will leave them open to EU General Data Protection Regulation violations, MarTech Today reports. Demandbase polled 255 marketers about data privacy, with 80 percent of respondents fearing the marketing tech vendors they use could expose them to GDPR penalties. Of the marketers who participated in the survey, only 32 percent claims their companies are GDPR compliant, with 75 percent saying their organizations will invest in technology to bolster their data privacy efforts. When asked about their top GDPR challenges, 57 percent said their biggest obstacle is understanding the recently implemented law.
