A survey by Brazilian credit bureau Boa Vista found more than 70% of consumers do not know the country’s General Data Protection Law regulations, ZDNet reports. Of the more than 500 consumers polled between August and September 2020, 90% of respondents feel companies are not appropriately protecting their personal data, and 77% is concerned about potential data misuse. However, 53% said they do not always take steps to protect their privacy before giving companies their personal data.
