The Irish Times reports a joint report filed by law firm McCann Fitzgerald and auditor Mazars has revealed just 8% of Irish companies believe they're in full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The survey of 100 organizations also showed 44% of respondents felt their CEO was up to speed with the GDPR and its potential effects. Approximately 62% of organizations find the GDPR to be a burden administratively, and 18% said their company has yet to define internal data protection roles.
