Reuters reports South Korean lawmakers voted to install surveillance cameras in hospital operating rooms across the country following a string of patient deaths after surgery. The bill amends the Medical Services Act and the footage from the cameras could help bring penalties against unlicensed hospital personnel. Those objecting to the mandate claim it will violate patient privacy among other things.
