Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission is investigating a data breach at ShopBack, The Straits Times reports. The cash-back platform notified customers of unauthorized access to its systems containing customers’ personal data and said it is investigating what data was compromised. The company told customers there is “no reason to believe” personal data has been misused, noting credit cards are safe as card numbers are not stored in ShopBack’s systems.
