U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., has announced proposed federal online privacy bills will be up for consideration during a Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation hearing next month, Politico Pro reports. According to the committee chairman, the hearing will examine various bills, including "some with larger scope than others." Wicker added Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., will have her proposed Balancing the Rights of Web Surfers Equally and Responsibly Act considered, noting he hopes to have a draft of his own proposal done in time for the session.
