Advocacy group NOYB, started by privacy activist Max Schrems, filed a complaint to the Austrian Data Protection Authority alleging a form of Google tracking violates the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The alleged violation stems from an Android advertising identification number Google installs to mobile devices without users' consent. "Google's system seems to structurally deny the exercise of users' rights," NOYB Privacy Lawyer Stefano Rossetti said.
