The Russian State Duma amended its Federal Law on Personal Data to include new protections for personal information being circulated publicly. More specifically, the amendments add a right to be forgotten for individuals while clarifying the circumstances for processing the public data. Additionally, a new system will be adopted to manage data subject requests for the deletion of data and allow organizations to prove compliance with the law.
