The Court of Justice of the EU ruling that publishing the name of a spouse is considered processing sensitive data could have wider implications across a variety of online platforms, TechCrunch reports. Future of Privacy Forum Vice President for Global Privacy Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna said the ruling allowed Article 9 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation to be applied in a multitude of contexts, such as online advertising and dating applications.
