Pennsylvania lawmakers expressed privacy concerns about a contact-tracing application expected to be released by the Department of Health this month, FOX43 reports. During a hearing, members of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee said constituents are concerned the app will track their location. Deputy Secretary for Health Innovation Meghna Patel said the app is “anonymous and voluntary,” adding it will pass third-party security and privacy assessments before it is released.
