Hong Kong's Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data released a report on its work in 2023 and shared privacy concerns with online food ordering. The PCPD noticed a 7% decrease in complaints, and a 50% increase in data breach notifications, going from 105 notifications in 2022 to 157 in 2023. The PCPD also investigated privacy concerns with online food ordering and found users should be cautious when providing personal information to food delivery apps.
