The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada published guidance on workplace privacy for employers, outlining considerations for managing employees' personal information and topics like monitoring employees. Privacy Commissioner Philippe Dufresne said a workplace culture that respects employees' privacy "builds morale and mutual trust" and employers must understand how they are subject to the Privacy Act and the Personal Information and Protection of Electronic Documents Act.
