The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada issued guidance for organizations to understand their obligations to privacy laws during the COVID-19 pandemic. The guidance covers both the Privacy Act and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. The OPC added it will help organizations subject to the laws with any questions they may have related to collecting and processing personal data over the course of the pandemic. Editor's note: The IAPP compiled a list of COVID-19 guidance from DPAs and other agencies around the world in the Resource Center.
