The U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration released all the comments it received on a high-level framework on the protection of consumer data privacy. Comments included those from the European Commission and Federal Trade Commission, as well as industry, privacy advocacy and academia, among others. “We cast a wide net in asking Americans to tell us their views on privacy, and met with over 100 organizations leading up to our comment outreach,” NTIA Administrator and Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information David Redl said. “We are grateful to those who have shared their thoughts, and look forward to future engagement with stakeholders, companies, civil society and academics.”
