The Philippines' National Privacy Commission is creating a code of conduct to help schools, students and parents develop a privacy-conscious environment as they implement distance learning when classes resume, The Philippine Star reports. The code will set standard policies and measures to prevent data breaches and help schools respond accordingly. The NPC reported the 19 breach notifications received in the education sector from January to June have exceeded 2019’s 18 notifications, and that upward trend is expected to continue.
