The Directorate for Personal Data Protection announced the Parliament of the Republic of Northern Macedonia has adopted the Law on Personal Data Protection. The law applies to any form of automated data processing done in North Macedonia, regardless of if the data originated from North Macedonia or another country. Standards and principles for data processing, lawful bases and data subject rights are also included in the legislation. (Original article is in Macedonian.)
