The Netherlands' data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, is seeking further clarification from OpenAI about how its generative artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT handles personal information. The AP is inquiring if the ChatGPT algorithm is trained on answers to questions that may contain sensitive personal information. The AP is also interested in how ChatGPT learns from personal data posted on the internet.
