TechCrunch reports Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella discussed how privacy is one of the three dimensions his company is focusing on as it relates to maintaining user trust. Speaking at the Microsoft Government Leaders Summit in Washington, Nadella said privacy is a human right that vendors are responsible for upholding. “The investments around data governance is what’s going to define whether you’re serious about privacy or not,” he said. He also reinforced a previous call for a federal U.S. privacy law in order to to streamline regulations for business. Nadella also touched on the need for ethical use of artificial intelligence as part of the user-trust equation.
