Meta hopes the Irish High Court will “quash” its 405 million euro fine for reportedly violating children’s privacy on its Instagram platform, the Irish Examiner reports. The move comes after Ireland's Data Protection Commission issued a fine to Meta in September after personally identifiable information of teenage Instagram users was automatically published under default settings, which has since been corrected. Meanwhile, Reuters reports a U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California judge accepted a $90 million settlement against Meta to resolve claims Facebook tracked users while they were logged out of the platform.
