Reuters reports Danish Member of European Parliament Christel Schaldemose expressed confidence in leaving regulatory enforcement against Big Tech, specifically under the proposed Digital Services Act, to authorities in member states where the companies are headquartered. Schaldemose said keeping the lead supervisory authority model intact "makes sense" despite some member states seeking to open enforcement capabilities. Additionally, Schaldemose said she's in favor of adding a ban on certain forms of targeted advertising to the DSA framework.
