Australian health insurer Medibank said a data breach in which 200 gigabytes of data was stolen compromised data of all its nearly 4 million customers, Reuters reports. The company said compromised information includes personal data and “significant amounts” of customers’ health claims data. Medibank’s Chief Executive Officer David Koczkar apologized to customers saying, “This is a terrible crime — this is a crime designed to cause maximum harm to the most vulnerable members of our community.”
