More than 500,000 QR code check-in addresses across Australia were leaked in a “massive and dangerous” data breach, the Daily Mail reports. The breach occurred last year, but New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet said the data was “uploaded in error” and he was first notified of the breach 14 Feb. The QR code system was intended to help citizens get COVID-19 information, but the breach exposed the locations of domestic violence shelters, defense sites, a missile maintenance unit, prisons, power stations and tunnel entrances.
