A class-action lawsuit accuses TikTok of collecting and storing users’ biometric data without consent, Reuters reports. Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California by guardians of two Illinois children who used the app, the complaint states TikTok violated Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act by not informing users that it collected face scans or disclosing its reason for doing so.
