Following the recent meetings with the Working Party on Telecommunications and Information Society, the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union released a new draft of the proposed ePrivacy Regulation. The new draft includes revisions of the machine-to-machine communications and a simplification of the concept of third parties. “Following the consideration of the present note and Annex in WP TELE on 18 [Nov.] 2019, the Presidency will invite the Permanent Representatives Committee to examine and confirm the Presidency compromise text as set out in the Annex to this note and forward it to the TTE Council in order to adopt a general approach at its meeting on 3 [Dec.] 2019,” the draft states.
