Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante, released some frequently asked questions on processing personal data during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the Paris metro authority began a test of closed-circuit TV software to monitor whether travelers are wearing face masks, and, in Canada, Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner Ronald Kruzeniski is questioning how data collected at checkpoints to prevent COVID-19 spread will be handled.
