Israel's Privacy Protection Authority published an opinion regarding the collection of employee's location data via apps and vehicle tracking systems. The PPA said tracking or collection should be used "only in the absence of any other alternative" and after they "meet the proportionality requirement" under the Protection of Privacy Law. The regulator added "a thorough examination" for benefits of use versus potential violation of employee privacy rights is also required.
