A spokeswoman for the Irish Data Protection Commission has indicated the office will render a decision on Twitter and WhatsApp investigations by the end of the year, The Irish Independent reports. While the decision will come in a matter of weeks, any potential actions against the companies are not expected to take effect until months after the decision is filed. The draft decisions could possibly include a fine, sanctions or other regulatory action.
