The European Data Protection Board continued its discussions on several topics during its eighth plenary session. The EDPB adopted its opinion on the interplay between the ePrivacy Directive and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The opinion covers whether the material scope is covered in the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive when personal data is processed and the rules’ effect on data protection authorities. The EDPB called for EU regulators to intensify their efforts toward the adoption of the ePrivacy Regulation and adopted the data protection impact assessment draft lists from Spain and Iceland.
