  • India's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill will be tabled in Parliament during the Monsoon session, The Hindu BusinessLine reports. "We are on track and preparations are going on," Vaishnaw said. 
  • In an op-ed for The New Indian Express, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Patnaik said though the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill raises concerns about "excessive delegation," it is important to note citizens' right to personal data privacy is a fundamental right under the Constitution.
