StateScoop reports Indiana Chief Privacy Officer Ted Cotterill, CIPP/US, urged fellow state CPOs to consider Indiana's privacy policies as they look to manage data sharing amid COVID-19. Cotterill said Indiana's success managing privacy concerns associated with data sharing stemmed from program implementation over years prior, noting "the interagency default has now become 'yes'" in regards to moving data. Indiana's Management Performance Hub, which establishes policies and practices that remove legal or technical reasons to decline sharing requests, was one program Cotterill deemed invaluable.
