The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office and The Alan Turing Institute have published their first draft regulatory guidance into the use of artificial intelligence. The guidance seeks to help entities explain the use of AI, particularly if they wish to use it to help in decision-making processes. The guidance is broken down into three parts, which include “The Basics of explaining AI,” “Explaining AI in practice” and “What explaining AI means for your organisation.” The two groups have launched an open consultation for the documents. Interested parties have until 24 Jan. 2020 to submit feedback.
