The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office has released guidance for businesses to prepare for a possible no-deal Brexit. U.K. Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham writes in a blog post the EU General Data Protection Regulation will still make its way into U.K. law after Brexit. The agency has released resources to assist businesses, particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises, should the government fail to make a withdrawal agreement with the EU. The ICO released a “Six Steps to Take” guide, broader guidance on what will happen if a withdrawal agreement is not reached, an interactive guide on standard contractual clauses, and a frequently asked questions section.
