U.K. Information Commissioner's Office Deputy Commissioner of Regulatory Innovation and Technology Simon McDougall, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, announced the ICO published guidance on the relationship between artificial intelligence and data protection. The guidance aims to provide recommendations on best practices and technical measures that organizations can use to limit data protection risks associated with AI deployments. Noting AI's "fast moving innovation and evolution," McDougall said the guidance will receive rolling updates "to keep pace with" technology.
