In light of growing concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the International Association of Privacy Professionals has canceled this year's Global Privacy Summit in Washington. "This was not an easy decision," said IAPP President and CEO J. Trevor Hughes, CIPP. "The IAPP realizes how much energy, effort and time our speakers, sponsors and attendees devote to planning and preparing for an event like this. Ultimately, the IAPP has prioritized the well-being and safety of our community and the communities that our attendees return to, while recognizing the external factors that have made running the Summit impossible." For immediate answers, an FAQ page is available here. Questions can also be sent to events@iapp.org. Further updates about the cancellation will be published here.
