The Information Accountability Foundation published a report exploring how data use that promotes and enhances an individual’s well-being might be developed into a new privacy law or revisions to existing legislation. “A Path to Trustworthy People Beneficial Data Activities” provides “an accountability process” for situations in which the processing of personal data “creates tangible, well-documented benefits for people.” The process includes an assessment of the risks of harm and benefits to individuals.
