Australian software-as-a-service provider PageUp, which has more than 2.6 million users across 190 countries, said the company is investigating a possible data breach that took place late May, Computerworld reports. A statement from the HR software company’s CEO and co-founder, Karen Cariss, said that unusual activity was detected May 23 and that a subsequent investigation found client data may have been compromised. Cariss also wrote that PageUp is “working together with international law enforcement, government authorities and independent security experts to fully investigate the matter.” Data believed to have been compromised includes names, contact details, and encrypted usernames and passwords.
