In a letter to Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie, Republican members of the House of Representatives' Committee on Oversight and Reform expressed concerns about a data breach that exposed personal details of 46,000 veterans, The Hill reports. Requesting a staff-level briefing about the VA’s response to the incident and information on steps it is taking to ensure the safety of veterans’ data in the future, the group said the breach is “particularly” concerning as it affects veterans and targets data “held in trust by the U.S. government.”
