Tennessee-based Community Health Systems and a subsidiary agreed to a $5 million settlement in a 28-state investigation of a 2014 data breach, Reuters reports. State attorneys general said the breach involved the personal data of approximately 6.1 million patients. As part of the settlement, the hospital operator will improve its information security measures.
