The Hong Kong Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data announced two detainments for alleged doxxing. Both suspects allegedly disclosed the personal data of another individual as a result of rental unit disputes, which violates Section 64(3A) of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Information disclosed in both cases included names, partial identification card numbers, birthdates and occupation details.
