Health systems are reporting patients have been affected by a security breach at third-party vendor Blackbaud:
- Roper St. Francis Healthcare in South Carolina said an unauthorized party may have accessed a database, including 92,963 patients’ names, ages, birthdates, addresses and treatment details, WCBD News 2 reports.
- Similar information of 163,000 University of Kentucky HealthCare patients may have been exposed, but medical records, credit card, bank and Social Security numbers were not affected, the Courier Journal reports.
- NorthShore University HealthSystem in Illinois said the personal information of approximately 348,000 may have been exposed, those affected potentially including patients, donors and employees, the Chicago Tribune reports.
