Yesterday, the IAPP announced the winners of its Privacy Leadership Award, split between two privacy professionals who put in long hours with the U.S. federal government this past year. In his role as special advisor to the White House, Marc Groman, CIPP/US, was instrumental in revamping the way the privacy profession is valued within federal departments. As a vital voice in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield negotiations, Ted Dean was deeply involved in bringing data transfer between the EU and United States back to life. Courtney Gabrielson, CIPM, profiles them both for The Privacy Advisor.
