A coalition of organizations launched the Global Privacy Control initiative to make it easier for consumers to exercise their data subject rights, Wired reports. Various website browsers will also allow users to download extensions to help communicate their data preferences with participating publishers. Brave, DuckDuckGo, Mozilla, The New York Times and The Washington Post are among the companies that have pledged their support to the initiative.
