A Twitter account was found to have shared the information of German politicians, The Wall Street Journal reports. The account leaked politicians’ phone numbers, addresses, internal party documents and credit card information. The breach affected German Chancellor Angela Merkel and every political party with the exception of the Alternative for Germany group. The Twitter account was suspended after the posts were discovered. The German Federal Office for Information Security has worked with other agencies to investigate the scope of the breach. German celebrities, journalists and artists also had data leaked on the platform. (Registration may be required to access this story.)
