Germany’s Federal Data Protection Commissioner Ulrich Kelber asked government organizations to close their Facebook pages by the end of the year, Reuters reports. Kelber said the pages are not able to operate in a way that does not transmit followers’ data to the U.S., in violation of privacy laws. He also recommended organizations discontinue using Clubhouse, TikTok and Instagram due to similar concerns. "Given the continuing violation of personal data protection, there is no time to waste," Kelber said.
