Generative artificial intelligence programs like ChatGPT are catching the attention of lawmakers, Reuters reports. Lawmakers have raised concerns over national security, bias and plagiarism, and BNH.AI Managing Partner Andrew Burt said some are evaluating whether to regulate generative AI programs. "I would expect malicious actors, non-state actors and state actors that have interests that are adversarial to the United States to be using these systems to generate information that could be wrong or could be harmful," he said.
